Artist's Comments Download The Emperor wallpapers  Laptop, iPhone and iPod (classic/touch/nano) skins available at INFECTIOUS This is for ~k-u. She knows why.  Working on this was definitely very enjoyable, although I did the character-blending-with-the-background thing again. I'm seriously going to start working in layers from now on. The WIP title was "emperor_cock", but I figured it's not really appropriate  Listened to Neil Gaiman's Fragile Things while doing it. I love when Neil's reading his stories to me XD; . CLOSE-UP . progress images . Photoshop CS4, Painter X . Wacom Graphire3 tablet . textures from here and there, including close-up shots of my budgie. Feathers, whee! When afraid when in doubt run in circles scream and shout!!!
I experimented with textures and custom pattern brushes in Painter a lot, and believe me, it took a lot less than what it may seem (I am not a very patient person, sadly).
